YouTube is discontinuing YouTube Stories
YouTube is discontinuing YouTube Stories. The feature will be discontinued on June 26, 2023. YouTube announced the decision in a blog post, saying that it is focusing on other features, such as YouTube Shorts and Community posts.
YouTube Stories were first introduced in 2017 as a way for creators to share short, temporary videos with their followers. However, the feature never really caught on, and YouTube says that it is used by only a small percentage of creators.

In its blog post, YouTube said that it is “committed to investing in new and innovative tools to help creators grow their audiences across YouTube.” The company says that it will continue to focus on features that are popular with creators and viewers, such as YouTube Shorts and Community posts.

YouTube Shorts is a short-form video feature that is similar to TikTok. It was launched in 2020 and has quickly become one of the most popular features on YouTube. Community posts are a way for creators to share text, images, and videos with their followers. They were launched in 2022 and are available to all creators.
YouTube says that it will continue to support creators who use YouTube Stories until the feature is discontinued on June 26. After that date, any stories that have already been created will expire after seven days.
