Enable Drop in Edge Browser

Once updated, access the sidebar to enable the Drop feature. If the sidebar isn’t visible, enable it by launching Microsoft Edge and typing ‘edge://settings/’ in the address bar.

3. To activate the function, select Always show sidebar from the drop-down menu and click the toggle. The sidebar will show up in Microsoft Edge’s right sidebar.
4. Go to the sidebar and click on the plus icon to open the sidebar customization section.
5. Find the Drop feature by scrolling down to the Manage section. Toggle it onto the sidebar by clicking on the button next to it.

Share files with Edge Browser’s Drop feature
Here are the steps on how to upload and share files with Drop on Edge browser:
- Open Microsoft Edge.
- Click the three dots menu icon in the top right corner.
- Select “Drop”.
- Click the “+” icon to add a file or note.
- Select the file or note you want to send.
- Click “Send”.
Your file or note will be sent to your other devices that are signed in to the same Microsoft account. You can access your Drop files and notes from the “Drop” section of the Edge sidebar.
To share a file or note with someone else, follow these steps:
- Open the file or note you want to share.
- Click the three dots menu icon in the top right corner.
- Select “Share”.
- Enter the email address of the person you want to share with.
- Click “Send”.
The person you shared with will receive an email with a link to the file or note. They can click on the link to view or download the file or note.
