How to Temporarily Switch On or Off Your Account on GTB. GTBank allows you to temporarily switch on or off your account on any of its channels, including Internet Banking, ATM/POS, and Mobile Banking. This can be useful if you are traveling, suspecting fraudulent activity on your account, or simply want to take a break from banking.

How to Temporarily Switch On or Off Your Account on GTB

Using Internet Banking:

• Log in to Internet Banking with your User ID and password.
• Click on Self Service.
• Select Account Switch Off/On.
• Select the Enable or Disable option for the channel you want to switch on or off.
• Select a Date From and Date To.
• Answer your secret question.
• Click Submit.
• Click Ok on the displayed dialogue box to confirm your request.

Using the GTWorld app:

• Open the GTWorld app and log in with your User ID and password.
• Tap on the Menu icon (three horizontal lines) in the top left corner of the app.
• Select Account Switch Off/On.
• Select the Enable or Disable option for the channel you want to switch on or off.
• Select a Date From and Date To.
• Answer your transaction PIN.
• Tap Done.

Once you have submitted your request, your account will be switched on or off on the selected date and time. You can also cancel your request at any time by following the same steps above and selecting the Cancel option.

Using the USSD code to lock your GTB account:

To lock your account, dial *737*51*74# from any mobile phone. You will be required to enter your phone number registered to the account and your 737 PIN. Once your account is locked, all debit transactions will be restricted.

Note: You cannot temporarily switch off your account on all channels at the same time. At least one channel must be enabled at all times.
